Oscars 2013 winning looks

The most exciting awards ceremony of the year finally arrived last night. Hollywood's hottest stars graced the red carpet in some exquisite pieces. Here are my favourite Style Me Curvy looks for 2013.

Best actress Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence rocked the red carpet last night in this stunning drop waisted Dior couture gown. She paired the dress with a subtle drop back necklace by Chopard which sat beautifully and just added to her overall elegance.

Octavia Spencer wowed viewers last night in this custom designed Tasdashi Shoji piece. I love how she went for an off the shoulder number. The shape was just made for her as the beaded bodice hugged her curves perfectly. To complete the look Octavia added Lorraine Scwartz jewellery.

Jennifer Hudson opted for a Roberto Cavalli petrol blue gown. I thought the fit and style was absolutely superb on her. I love the arm detail with semi clear material so she didn't look too covered up. She kept her accessories to a minimum with a ring and a Jimmy Choo clutch. Jennifer left her hair completely straight which complements her overall look perfectly.

Charlize Theron wore this stunning structured Dior gown with peplum detailing. It was such a unique dress that really fitted with her style, her beauty and of course her new pixie hair style. To add to this crisp white dress Charlize wore platinum Harry Winston Jewellery.

Reese Witherspoon alluded classic Hollywood look last night with her side-swept blonde curls. She added a retro twist opting for a cobalt blue colour in Louis Vuitton. For a woman who has just had a baby she looks incredible!:)

Kelly Rowland knows how to dress her curves when it comes to the red carpet. This strapless monochrome Donna Karan Atelier gown with a high split.

E! Fashion presenter Kelly Osbourne opted for this black Tony Ward gown with silver bead detailing. It caught my eye at the start of the Oscars last night as one of the more unusual designs. The strap detailing was fabulous, it is a dress that a lot of body types could pull off with the thick black band detailing enhancing her waistline which gave her a beautiful silhouette.

Kerry Washington looked sweet and elegant in Miu Miu. It was really refreshing to see this beautiful coral colour working against the gold and cream detail on the top half of the dress. It wasn't overly flash, the structure was quite simple but it was memorable and stuck out as one of my favourite dresses.

Other red carpet looks that got it right on the night included, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Aniston, Queen Latifah and mum to be Jenna Dewan-Tatum.

  2. Love your choices - great that you picked Kelly Rowland too. Saw she got some negative press about her outfit but I loved it! It's so subjective and quite nasty too. One of the benefits to not being famous, eh?! Avril x
